Are you conscious of communicating with 56 people when you post your tweets, or who do you feel you are talking to? When I see your tweets pop up in a little box in my browser (using TwitterFox), it appears that you - or some of the other people I follow - are talking to me. In fact, thousands of people could be reading your tweets, if they happen to be looking at the stream on the main twitter site at that moment.
Is this an illusion of communication, or more like hearing a familiar voice in a crowd?
 

thats a gr8 set of Q's Aileen. i am conscious of the fax that i am moodcasting to many but also that i am communicating to sum specifix ppl... + you are rite, it could be as mini as you sez (thousands) but also it feels more direx, more connected than that. i do feel that i am communicating direxly w/you + others, as in a crowded room, even though it is of course a different process + 01 that could be overheard/telescoped out to mini (unknown) others but that always carries the possibilities of direx 1:1 replies (i.e. such as this situation here ++ now)
