  John Maeda on Twitter
i just started following John Maeda on Twitter. the img above is from Maeda's profile + displays that Maeda is Following 0 ppl + has 452 Followers. (i'm # 452 i suppose). this situation is not unique to Maeda, i've seen + am following others who also simply use Twitter as a broadcast system but i am skeptical about this use of social software, as just another 01 way broadcast...

Barack Obama started following me. of course i know this is either scripted or done by hand by the multiple individuals that are authoring the Barack Obama Twitter feed but i can also totally accept that as part of a massive national presidential campaign effort. the gesture is still relevant to me, that Barack Obama is in fact following more ppl than are following his Twitter feed
