the new Pop Art

i am convinced that
this collection of drawings of girls made w/guns in Halo (2008) is the new Pop Art. it is certainly also an (@ least technologically) updated version the old Computer Art:

as this (1966) early Computer Graphics work of
Ken Knowlton demonstrates ++ contains more than passing resemblances to:

now classic examples of Pop Art as epitomized by Drowning Girl by Roy Lichtenstein (1953).
